Suzhou International Finance Forum 2016
Sino-Singapore Cross-Border Financial Cooperation and Development

The NUS Institute of Real Estate Studies (IRES) Global Logistic Properties (GLP) Research Centre, in collaboration with the NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute and the Office of Finance of Suzhou City Government, organized a Suzhou International Finance Forum on 21st Nov 2016. This event was supported by the Suzhou Industrial Park Finance Management and Service Bureau. This Forum serves to facilitate thought-leadership and engagement between the business communities in Singapore and China.

Mr. Song Jifeng (Deputy Director of the Suzhou Municipal People's Government Financial Affairs Office) delivered the opening address.

Prof. Joseph Cherian (Director, Centre for Asset Management Research & Investments at the National University of Singapore) delivered the first keynote speech titled 'Singapore's Experience in Financial Management'.


The second keynote speech was conducted by Dr. Yang Hongliang (Senior Investment Expert, Investment Operations, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank).

Panel discussion: 'Cross-Border Financial Cooperation and Development' moderated by A/Prof Sing Tien Foo (Deputy Head, Department of Real Estate; Deputy Director, Institute of Real Estate Studies at the National University of Singapore). Panelists included Prof. Joseph Cherian and Mr. Sun Jianjun (MD, Country Head, China GIC Real Estate International China Co Ltd).


Following the panel discussion, a third keynote speech was delivered by Dr James Geng Jing(Chairman & President, Greenland Financial Holdings Group) on the topic of 'Transformations in China’s Real Estate Finance Sector'.

A dialogue and open discussions followed thereafter. This session was moderated by Prof. Deng Yongheng (Provost’s Chair Professor; Head, Department of Real Estate; Director, Institute of Real Estate Studies at the National University of Singapore).
